Every session is taught by someone who does the work for a living and gives up a Saturday to do it. If that is you, a single day is enough to change what a young person thinks is possible for them.
We are not looking for people to hand out worksheets. We are looking for people who do a job well and can let a young person stand next to them while they do it.
Physician assistants, nurse practitioners, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics. You run a station for four hours: tissue, suture, sterile field, airway, CPR. We supply everything.
Painters, illustrators, sculptors, gallerists. You teach the thing you actually do, in a room with easels and thirty people who have never been told their work is worth hanging.
Writers, directors, camera operators, editors, sound. The curriculum exists and professional camera, lighting, sound and editing equipment is available to the program at no charge. What we need is people who have made something.
Strength and conditioning, track, sport-specific. Certified preferred, experienced essential. Baseline testing, sprint mechanics, safe loading for growing bodies.
Six programs are designed and unbuilt. Each one is waiting on a professional willing to teach it. If that is your trade, you are the missing piece, not a nice-to-have.
Photography, grant writing, bookkeeping, logistics on the day. Less visible, equally load-bearing, and often the difference between a good session and a chaotic one.
A Discovery workshop runs a single morning or afternoon. You arrive, you are briefed, you run your station, you go home. There is no committee, no ongoing commitment, and nobody will put you on a mailing list you did not ask for.
If you want to do more — teach a six-week program, help build one of the six that do not exist yet — that conversation is welcome. But one day is a complete contribution, and it is the one most people can give.
We work with young people, so a few things are non-negotiable. Students are never unsupervised. Every station is staffed by a licensed professional. Adults who volunteer regularly complete background screening and mandated reporter training under California law.
If you are joining us for a single day alongside our staff, that requirement does not apply to you — but the standards on the day do, and we will brief you on them before you start.
No CV, no application process. A few lines is enough — we will write back and talk it through.
